Bad enough that Fox “News” and Trump spread the lie that the attacker in the New Orleans horror had driven to Bourbon Street from Mexico, suggesting that the crime was the result of Biden border policy. It was a lie, of course. The killer of 14 was an American citizen and Army veteran. He crossed no border, according to the FBI. But, as we all know by now, the truth never matters to Trump and his Republican supporters in the right-wing nuthouse, Rep. Andy Harris of Maryland among them. Here’s Harris’s Facebook reposting of Trump’s lies about the attack and about the nation’s crime rate. (The FBI’s most recent report shows that violent crime fell by an estimated 3% between 2022 and 2023. Murder and non-negligent manslaughter dropped by 12%, the largest in the last 20 years.)

  1. It is ironic that President-Elect Trump calls his favorite posting vehicle “Truth Social” when it rarely contains the truth and where it is decidedly anti- social.

  4. I have known for years that Trump and his supporters lie frequently frequently. But these lies about the New Orleans tragedy are VERY DISGUSTING and blatant.
