Sold out: Baltimore, You Have No Idea

Thanks to one and all who purchased tickets for the Dec. 2 and 3 performances of my “one-man play with a cast of seven (or eight)” at the Meyerhoff Auditorium of the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Reminder: Seating is general admission. The email confirmation of your purchase serves as your ticket. Ushers will have your name and the number of tickets you purchased at the door.

Dan Rodricks has written a column for The Baltimore Sun (and the bygone Evening Sun) since 1979. It’s believed to be the longest-running local column in the country. If it’s not, at 43 years, it is certainly one of the longest running regular features in any U.S. newspaper. 

Rodricks has written more than 6,400 columns for the Sun, and has won national and regional journalism awards for his work. He’s also worked in local television and radio, and produced a podcast for The Sun.

During the first weekend in December, he’s leading in his own play about the city, “Baltimore, You Have No Idea.” In the play, a kind of theatrical memoir, Rodricks and a supporting cast tell stories from his more than 40 years as a journalist. The play brings to the stage portrayals of some of the many people he’s encountered over the years. Music director Mat Lane has written a new song about the city, “Oh, Baltimore!” We hope you enjoy the show.
