Until proven otherwise, there’s likely only one reason John and Jim Harbaugh visited Trump in the White House: They’re fans; they like the felon president. Otherwise, they’d have said no to the invitation. Trump is the most divisive president in history; he lies constantly, has policies that are either cruel or confusing; he’s clearly a racist, and he has virtually no respect for the rule of law. He once said that Baltimore, a city with a majority Black population, was a place where “no human being would want to live.”
None of that stopped John Harbaugh, who reportedly makes $12 million a year as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, from joining his brother ($16 million a year as head coach of the LA Chargers) for a visit to Trump’s gilded Oval Office.
The White House refused to disclose the reason for the meeting to reporters, so who knows why Trump wanted to see them? The fact that they accepted the invitation makes them Trumpies. People with integrity, who care about the future of the country, would have said no.
With maybe two exceptions, readers who commented on the story in The Baltimore Banner, gave John Harbaugh a hard thumbs-down. Here’s a sample:

For me it’s the hypocrisy of phonies like John Harbaugh who constantly claim to be devout Christians and support a sick, twisted malevolent monster like Trump. There’s a bunch of them, one of the reasons I think this nightmare I may not be just a bump
