Back some years, I used to get out on the Chesapeake frequently — once a month or so in spring and summer — when two old friends still roamed the Earth. One had the boat, the other brought the camaraderie and stories. We had some lively times on the water. I miss those old chums, of course. Recently, I was treated to a morning trip out of Mill Creek, near Annapolis. We ran up to the Bay Bridge and past the bridge to the Sandy Point Shoal Light, familiar fishing grounds. I enjoyed the run. It reminded me of those absent friends. The memory of them, on the Bay, is indeed a blessing.
