Just announced: Love Riot will perform an album release concert on Saturday, September 19 at FPX Events Live inside the Flagship Premium Cinema in Eastpoint. The new album, “Nothing Is Etched in Stone,” is Love Riot’s first full-length album since 1999. If you haven’t been inside FPX, you’re in for a wow: It’s a hidden gem, with a glam vibe, down the hall and past the 10 Flagship theaters. It has comfortable seating for 400. Take this link to the ticket information for this event. Love Riot is back after a 26-year hiatus, and the new album features 11 songs.

Also of note: Lisa Mathews, Mikel Gehl and Willem Elsevier, three of Love Riot’s five members, will perform in my play, “Baltimore You Have No Idea,” updated with three new scenes and on stage at the Baltimore Museum of Art in December.
