A Message from Julia Rodricks, Girls Director, Baltimore Youth Hockey Club:

If you know any families with young girls who might be interested in giving hockey a try, please let them know about this fun event.

The Baltimore Stars Girls Hockey Program will host our Girls Try Hockey for Free event on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:15–1:45 PM at Reisterstown Sportsplex! This is being done in partnership with the Washington Capitals, the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA) and the Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation as part of the fourth annual DMV Girls Hockey Weekend. We are really focused on introducing hockey to girls at a young age.

This FREE event is open to girls ages 4–9. No experience is needed. All equipment is provided. It’s a fun, welcoming way to get on the ice, learn the basics and make new friends.

To register, visit the DMV Girls Hockey Weekend registration page. Scroll down until you see Baltimore Youth Hockey Club and select the registration link associated with our Reisterstown Sportsplex event to reserve your spot.
